This collage was inspired by Federico García Lorca’s poem “El rey de Harlem” published in his poetry book “Poeta en Nueva York”, written between 1929-30 during his stay at Columbia University in New York City.

Comissioned by Rosina Cazali, from Centro Cultural de España in Guatemala, to illustrate the book “Pequeño libro infinito. García Lorca desde Guatemala” which commemorates the 70th death anniversary of Federico García Lorca.
