For their 6th anniversary and after 70 issues, the girls from La Cuerda wanted to redesign their 16-page b/w monthly newsprint publication. This is the only feminist publication in Guatemala. For the new design we changed the fonts and their size to increase the legibility. Columns were added to make it more dinamic. Also, we proposed the use of larger photos and illustrations done specifically for each issue. Their logo was redesigned as well. Templates of each section were sent via internet and graphic supervision is done after each publication.

For their 7th Anniversary and commemorating
the International Day of Women in the March issue, La Cuerda wanted to
celebrate with a special center spread about Guatemalan artists. A combination
of poems and images of the artists was compiled. |
